Slow encode
Webb25 juli 2015 · The latter is for x264/x265 encoding. A Higher number means faster encoding, so ultrafast would map to 8 or so. Very slow/placebo maps to 0, and values in between map accordingly. 1-2 still gives reasonably good results and settings like 4-5 tend to be relatively fast but not entirely crap quality. Webb7 maj 2024 · now encoding 5.7k video, 265 codec at CBR 64Mbit "Higher" setting, slow, but works. Highest - don't. Also I see 40-50% CPU utilization and 0-30% GPU. Tried to encode same file to 264 like 10Mbit and downscale it to 2048*1024, it was 80-90% CPU utilization and up to 85% GPU.

Webb15 maj 2009 · ImageMagick uses libjpeg (a.k.a Independent JPEG Group library). If you improve the speed of libjpeg, ImageMagick JPEG speed will increase. There are a few options: Compile an optimized libjpeg. If you have a modern gcc and at least a Pentium 4, you can try -O3 -msse2 and see if it can boost your speed.
WebbThis encoding is designed to make binary data survive transport through transport layers that are not 8-bit clean, such as mail bodies.
